What if people no longer smile and view those who do not care with suspicion? What would happen if persons were torn apart by a sense of anxiety and fear?
If anxiety and hypochondria influence the population that has stopped smiling for years because "lightness" has become synonymous with "irresponsibility", it's necessary to protect all individuals from any likelihood that a laugh will infect them. The provocation of "Contagious Laughter" consists in a distopic future of censorship and breakage where to test oneself through a project that affects both the public and private sphere, in order to break into the scenario with an ironic and technological operation. The story concept leverages on the importance of a smile because it's in the moment in which it is missing that we realize its therapeutic power.
